The sunflowers are in full bloom. Below are some shots of an 11 acre sunflower field we planted on a shooting preserve in Greene County. The huge flowers and blanket of yellow are always a welcome change in the middle of the summer, and for hunters it stokes anticipation for the upcoming dove season.
The great thing about sunflowers is there are few areas where hunter and spouse can find as much common ground. Wildlife habitat that everyone actually wants planted in their front yard – that’s a win-win!
