Spring is always a busy time at HELM, but this year seems to be flying by and it’s hard to believe we’re already planting this year’s vegetables & flowers in the the colonial Williamsburg garden we designed and built last year. The owners of this particular farm travel a lot during the summer so they asked if we could design a garden that would have an extended harvest and a steady supply of vegetables throughout the year. The head of our landscape team, Charlie Humphreys, put together a great plan (see below) to start the season off. The garden & design will be updated in July after the early season vegetables are harvested so keep up with the HELM blog this summer to see how it evolves!
